"Coming on the scene with street singles that were both sublime ("Free tha Gang") and ridiculous ("Awwsome"), rapper Shy Glizzy (born Marquis Amonte King) first made a rumble around Washington, D.C. after taking on the hometown hero, Fat Trel. Playing off Trel's "Respect with the Tech," Glizzymade waves with his "Disrespect the Tech," setting off a cross-city feud that would be put to rest with the help of rapper Wale. A beef with Chicago's Chief Keef followed, then Glizzy began to focus inward, releasing a series of mixtapes in 2012 including Law and Fxck Rap, while also forming his own Glizzy Gang, an A$AP Mob-styled crew of like-named rappers including Snipe Glizzy and Ant Glizzy. Law 2 arrived in 2013, featuring appearances by Migos, Yo Gotti, Kevin Gates, and producer Metro Boomin. In 2014, Shy Glizzy issued the Young Jefe mixtape, which not only produced his first big hit with the slurring and infectious "Awwsome," but would also hint at a future name change for the rapper. A remix of "Awwsome" with 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky followed, as the song peaked in the Top 50 of the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. (allmusic.com)
“The "darkwave duchess" of Awful Records, an otherwise rap crew from Atlanta, Abra is a singer and songwriter who makes shadowy, mostly slow R&B that deviates from the slicker sounds of the genre's commercial artists. Born in New York and raised in London, she moved near Atlanta, Georgia when she was eight and felt like a misfit -- a situation that inspired her to learn to play guitar and write. She later connected with Awful's Father, who remixed her track "Needsumbody." Its video was uploaded in September 2014. The following year, as a full-fledged Awful artist, she released an EP, Blq Velvet, and quickly followed it with an album, Rose. Princess, a six-song EP with a more defined sound highlighted by the yearning neo-freestyle track "Crybaby," arrived in July 2016. It was issued through a partnership between Awful and Matador subsidiary True Panther Sounds. In 2017, Ninja Tune issued Rose on vinyl. (all music.com)

"New York native and hip hop new comer AL COE drops his new visual “C.O.E” (Cash Over Everything) off his latest EP “COESIGN“. A kid from New York who got addicted to another life style and wanted in… From that moment on, it was CASH OVER EVERYTHING. Al Coe is now partnered with D.J Holiday"
Less than 5 minutes from Yale university, 3 minutes from where the Amistad landed, and a staircase away from evidence of a government created crack epidemic. A fifteen year old kid from New haven CT, using Rap as a means of psychological escape, Self manifested himself as "Cambatta”.
Cambatta released his first 2 projects, The "Visionary" and "Visionary 2" in 2008 and 2010 respectively receiving major online publicity and high honors among many of the worlds top Hip Hop media outlets and blogs with no budget. But it wouldn’t be until 2013 that Cambatta would really come into his own. He changed his way of thinking – with some chemical help – and created the powerful and trippy Smoke & Mirrors series, a three-mixtape collection that was released between 2013 and 2015. The trilogy took on mystical themes and melded them with reflections on childhood to create a voice that didn’t sound like anything else. after implementing marijuana, mushrooms, and other mind altering substances into his creative process. Cambatta released "Smoke & Mirrors: The Porch" in January 2013 to rave reviews and created a niche fan base. 2015 saw the follow up releases of Smoke & Mirrors: "The Womb" and "The Crackbaby" which have become cult classics within the sanctum of trippy stoners and deep thinkers. Cambatta’s latest release is Smoke & Mirrors DMT: (Definitive Metagod Trilogy), a collection of some of the best songs of the series plus previously unreleased material.
